Medical Care’s transition to Telehealth has resulted in increased call volume, which can make it difficult for callers to reach the right person. Use these phone numbers to call or text our departments directly for telehealth, appointments, prescription refills, and more.

Medical Care’s Elizabethton office is temporarily reducing our extended hours. Our Elizabethton location will be open 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday – Friday & 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Saturdays, primarily for Telehealth visits. The Elizabethton Dispensary and Radiology Departments are also closing at 7:00 PM each weeknight, and our Laboratory services will no longer be available on Saturdays.
Additionally, Medical Care’s Johnson City office will be CLOSED on Saturdays until further notice, but will remain open 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday – Friday. Our Elizabethton location will remain OPEN on Saturdays 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM primarily for Telehealth visits.

As we all have been watching, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has made its way to Tennesee, and we want to provide you with information about the planning efforts and actions that Medical Care is undertaking to help prevent its spread in our area.
The health and safety of all Medical Care patients and team members is of the utmost importance. We have increased our cleaning/sanitation schedule, and we are taking precautions to help prevent the spread of illness at our facilities. As such, the free coffee and water stations have been removed from our Johnson City and Elizabethton locations until further notice.
EARLY MEDICATION REFILLS
With the anticipated COVID-19 outbreak, most major insurance companies are allowing maintenance medications to be refilled early to ensure our patients do not run out of medicine during a quarantine period. Please CALL or TEXT our Dispensary at (423) 431-0317 for refill requests. If you are out of refills, we can reach out to your Healthcare Provider to request additional refills. Also, if you are at high risk for contracting COVID-19, please let us know and we can bring your prescription curbside to your vehicle.
If you have recently traveled to an affected area, are showing flu-like symptoms, and believe you require a screening for Coronavirus (COVID-19), please call or text our office at (423) 929-2584 or (423) 431-0517 BEFORE coming in to our office. You will be given special directions, and may be asked to REMAIN INSIDE YOUR CAR to complete your screening. Please allow 3-7 days to receive your test results.

In addition, we encourage you to take steps to reduce the spread of illness to yourself and your close contacts. Wash your hands often. Cough into your elbow. Don’t touch your face with unwashed hands. Practice social distancing, which means avoiding unnecessary contact other people.
